Follow-up any commitments you made in the termination (Termination Letter Template)
Follow-up any commitments you made in the termination meeting including writing a memorandum of recommendation (if asked for). For example if a worker refuses to operate equipment for which they are not trained to cover for a coworker, this is not disobedience. If you strip a worker of that, it can cost your business more than a weekly paycheck. But, with a medium-risk employee, it'll be a different story. Disobedience and separating commonly go hand-in-hand. Also, you might find your problem employee is a better fit for another job within your business.
Lastly, give some thought to the remaining workforce and how your firing a salaried monthly employee will affect them psychologically. Your notification should detail exactly what happened and why this was against the rules, and it should set up a time for the jobholder to meet with you. Although a supervisor can identify a case for dismissing a jobholder, the task of dismissing an employee is still difficult. If he files a wrongful termination litigation, you'll have a more difficult time defending your position. After the introduction and cutting off any small talk, you must tell the employee she's terminated. Based on this chapter, you may feel you know exactly what you need to do next. You may know that individual's hardships and struggles, and you may know their family. As a supervisor, you must know not only what a worker firing letter is but also what it should include. It should include any benefits you'll extend to him or her.
